Virtual Learning on Snow/Inclement Weather Days

With the winter months coming up, we are communicating with you regarding how virtual instruction will be incorporated into the district’s implementation of our first five snow or inclement weather days this year.

As you may know, beginning in the 2020-21 school year, a new state law allows schools to create a state-approved alternative methods of instruction (AMI) plan to fulfill up to 5 days of time lost in the classroom due to events outside of the district’s control — inclement weather, a utility outage etc. — that typically prompt the cancellation of school.

Title 1 School – Federal Programs Complaint Resolution Procedures Notice

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) requires certain notifications to parents/guardians when school districts receive federal funds. School districts must annually disseminate Federal Programs Complaint Resolution Procedures to parents/guardians of students and appropriate private school officials or representatives. The Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA) Complaint Procedures can be found at this link.
